The tea cosy page
We have moved to an old windmill, so I'm making some windmill related things at the moment. Here is Windy Miller, from Camberwick Green.
Flower tea cosy
This is great fun to do, but it eats yarn. Mine is for a small tea pot, enough for one person, but it weighs 310g. That is more than 6 standard balls of double knitting. You could get a garment out of that. But because of the thickness the insulation level is good as it makes a very thick fabric.

Some of you will recognise the idea for the circular top of this cosy base from Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Pie Are Square" shawl, which has a semi circular back piece. Anyone who wants to be able to knit basic garments without a pattern should get searching for Elizabeth's books.
